Rihanna and Chris Brown Battle It Out Via Music Video
With videos like these, it's almost as if Rihanna and Chris Brown were hoping for mass-media scrutiny to follow.
As promised, the two megastars debuted their new music videos on Friday, her first since the highly publicized incident last February, and spoiler alert: they're both left wide-open for interpretation.
Rihanna's "Russian Roulette" portrays some seemingly real emotion as the songstress bounces back-and-forth between writhing around a padded cell, and facing off with a rather muscluar man presenting her with a loaded gun.
Representative of her relationship battles with Brown? Likely Perhaps, but far more unstated than her former counterpart's attempt.
You can't deny Brown's ability to bust-a-move in his videos, but "Crawl" just feels like another one of Camp Chris' ploys for public pity. The song is good, but casting R&B singer Cassie—often touted as Rihanna 2.0 because of her strong fashion statements and outlandish hair styles—to play Brown's faux famous-ex? Not very cool.
Now you decide, who gave fans the best comeback video: Rihanna or Chris Brown?

Boozy Brooke Hogan Belts One Out In Chicago
Oh, Brooke Hogan!
You really, um, impressed the crowd last night at Enclave nightclub in Chicago.
A source reports that the reality television star/singer showed up at the hotspot "in an utter state of hot drunkenness." At about two in the morning, Ms. Hogan jumped on stage and gave an impromptu performance of slurred lyrics and wobbly dance moves.
Hogan isn't the only celeb we've spotted out an about recently. Read on for scoop on Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal, Blake Lively, Jon Hamm and E!'s very own Joel McHale…

Let's hear it for romance!
We can't all be living out cinematic vampire-human fantasies in real life, but even if your great love affair ends with a phone call, you can still write 11 songs about it and become the biggest thing to hit the Country Music Association Awards since Dolly Parton's upper half.
Read up on how how Taylor Swift turned heartache into four pointy crystal trophies—and on everything else of note that happened this week—right here:
Stop This Trend: Slutty Black Tights
Young Hollywood hates to cover up—you name it: microminis, tiny tanks, plunging necklines...But this time we're actually encouraging them to take something off.
We're talking about their patterned tights, which, let's be honest, are little more than fancy fishnets.
Check out the prints covering the gams of Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus: They're kind of hideous, not all that flattering, and if you squint, doesn't it look like Taylor Momsen's legs are covered in henna tattoos? Freaky, right?
So, sweeties, we suggest you find a better way to keep your stems warm this winter. Wear solid tights or pants or something—anything but this fugly leg fashion!

Jennie Garth: I'm Just Arm Candy for New Moon Premiere
Jennie Garth is almost as excited as you are for the New Moon premiere on Monday, but not because she's dying to see if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart arrive arm in arm.
"I'm just excited to be there and support my husband," the 90210 star tells E! News exclusively of her spouse, Peter Facinelli. "He's like the perfect Dr. Carlisle [Cullen]. I'm such a fan of the book and of the movie that I really can't picture anyone else playing Dr. Carlisle, so I'm very happy to be there on his arm. It's not about me—I'll just be arm candy that night.
"That red carpet last year was pretty intense. I'm sure it's going to be even worse this year," she says. "Maybe I'll just stay back and let him do it. I'll wait in the car."
As for how she keeps her gorgeous family, including Peter and their three daughters, balanced, let's just say Garth has some tricks up her sleeve...

DJ AM Survived Plane Crash—but It Killed Him Anyway, Family Says
DJ AM was a successfully recovering addict before he was almost killed in a plane crash last year.
Or so says Adam Goldstein's family, which has amended the late record-spinner's negligence suit against the various companies involved in that fatal flight to include an allegation of wrongful death.
"The crash ultimately caused DJ AM's death," states the revamped suit filed Nov. 5 in Los Angeles Superior Court. AM, who had recently finished shooting the MTV intervention series Gone Too Far when he accidentally OD'd on prescription meds and cocaine, was forced to start taking pills again to cope with anxiety and pain from the burns he suffered in the fiery crash, according to the new allegations.
So, according to his family, he was going nowhere but down after the accident.
Eddie Cibrian's Ex Wants Him to Pay and Keep the Kids Away From LeAnn
Brandi Glanville wants things done a certain way from here on out.
Saying she quit working at Eddie Cibrian's request back when they were dating, the stay-at-home mom is demanding full financial support from her future ex-husband, whom she says is making $60,000 a week for his gig on CSI: Miami.
In a court filing obtained by E! News, the former model estimates her monthly expenses to be in the ballpark of $49,000, which includes household bills, groceries, child care, $3,000 for clothes...
You know, the usual.
Twilight Mastermind Stephenie Meyer: Robert Pattinson Looks Like the Edward in My Head
Just as he has with so many other women, Robert Pattinson has become a full-fleged citizen of Stephenie Meyer's fantasy world.
The usually press-shy author who gave life to Bella, Edward, Jacob and a billion-dollar media phenomenon told Oprah Winfrey today that R.Pattz and his unique and "significantly featured" face brought her visions of Edward to life.
"I knew that the problem was going to be Edward, because he's the perfect vampire," Meyer said in what will be her only formal interview before New Moon hits theaters Nov. 20. "How do you cast that from your pool of human actors?"
But Pattinson "doesn't look like everybody else," she said. "There's something unusual. There are moments where he looks exactly like he did in my head."
As for the role of Bella, "there's plenty of people who look like the girl next door. We were really lucky with Kristen Stewart, who is a phenomenal actress."
And the rest is history.
History wrought by a dream that Meyer, a first-time author who had never tried to publish anything, just happened to have.
A Violent Past for Alleged Cindy Crawford Extortionist: Exes Claimed Abuse and Rape
Cindy Crawford's nanny was apparently mixing it up with the wrong kind of guy.
Court documents show that Edis Kayalar, who's accused of trying to extort more than $100,000 from Crawford and her husband, has a sordid past that includes allegations of rape and abuse from his ex-wife and another girlfriend.
Kayalar's ex, Jaclyn Marie Freckmann, obtained a restraining order against him last year after accusing him of raping and beating her in February 2008 when she asked him to move out after barely three months of marriage, according to the filing obtained by E! News.
The morning after she kicked him out, she says, he broke into the house, saying he didn't love her and had only married her for citizenship.
"I wouldn't speak to him so he punched, choked, restrained me, and then he continued to beat me and then rape me," Freckmann stated.
And yesterday he was only an alleged extortionist.
Should You Watch the New Scrubs?
OK, here's the truth: We were skeptical about the idea of a new Scrubs.
As a general rule, shows without Law & Order in the title don't need a ninth season. By the time a series gets that old, the gimmick is usually played out, the castmembers and writers are burned out and the audience is ready to sign out. Especially with the knowledge that some original castmembers were either gone completely or only appearing part-time, Scrubs: The Next Generation just seemed a little desperate on ABC's part.
But we just got the first two eps of Scrubs season nine in the mail, and here's what we think after actually seeing the finished product:
